CHIC CHOC just as the name suggests, is a band and music that is elegant and shocking.
The idea of a collaborative ensemble between longtime music veterans, Connie Yin, Neda Zahraie and Christina Crossin, was conceived on Thanksgiving Day 2018 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Since then creating daring music has been the band's attitude in their explorations of sound and concept.
"Chic Choc is about creating songs that make you want to dance, singe along and challenge the status quo!"The trio composes all the songs using drum machines, synthesizers, bass guitar, voice and a variety of sound filters and pedals. Listeners should expect a danceable groove, informed lyrics and an unexpected and sophisticated shift in feel and attitude from song to song.
The core of CHIC CHOC's mission is to practice freedom of artistic expression at every moment of life as in every song.
